I am very excited about our life together here at Central. I am excited because I sense the power of the Holy Spirit alive and well in our midst. The evidence of that is in "the love we show one to another." We might disagree about the proper style of worship, or wrestle with the meaning of ancient creeds in these modern times, but as long as love is our rule, then the Christ whose name we carry lives within us. "So faith, hope, love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love." (1 Cor, 13:13)
I am excited about our life together, because I see us trying to live into our Mission Statement, one that says that we are a deliberately diverse and fully inclusive family of faith. I cannot help but believe that the One we worship is pleased and will bless such a stance.
Love to you all,
Greg

It's time once again for the Central Presbyterian Church Retreat at beautiful Mo Ranch!
If you've been before, you know what a great place Mo Ranch is - it's in the Hill Country, just west of Kerrville, about a 3.5 hr drive from Austin. This facility has belonged to the Presbyterian Church (USA) for many years, and this will be the 4th year in a row that we've held an all-church retreat there.
» Be sure to visit the Mo Ranch website!
The retreat activities will begin with vesper services in the chapel at 9:00 Friday evening, and conclude with morning worship on Sunday. Allison Danforth is joining Tom and Sally Estes to coordinate the retreat, and they'll have plenty of information as the time draws near. Meanwhile, stop by the church office and see the book of wonderful pictures taken at last year's retreat!
